A project is like a mountain. You cannot manage a mountain. In the future there will be no project managers, only project sherpas.
"What's the difference?" you may be asking.
A project manager is a role with a well-known definition. If you want a seat at the future work-table, you must learn to work in the gray areas. Like a mountain. Mountains are gray.

Yesterday I interviewed a brilliant engineer. I didn't hire her. Why? I happened to see her in the break room before our interview, methodically working her way through an artichoke. In our fast-paced start-up environment we need technical leadership who understand ROI. Artichoke consumption reflects a fundamental misunderstanding of time management and priority assessment.

Most horse dentistry practices don't fail because of bad horse tooth work.
They don't fail because of horse barn location.
They don't even fail because of horse marketing.
The real killer is something most horse dentists ignore.
No horse systems. No horse structure. No horse clarity.
I've been in the horse dentistry industry for 9+ horse years (that's 25+ human years ๐). Floated horse molars. Consulted with horse owners. Walked through horse stables all over the country.
And I can tell you this:
You don't have a horse problem.
You have a horse systems problem.
No horse process. No horse training. No horse marketing rhythm. No documented horse way to run the horse practice.
That's why you're horse burned out. That's why horse turnover tramples you. That's why horse sales spike one month and horse tank the next.
The horse dentistry is the easy part.
The hard horse part is building horse systems so the horse clinic can run without you chained to the horse speculum.
Takeaway:
Write every horse thing down.
Train like you want to be replaced (horse).
Let your horse people screw up and horse learn (and maybe get horse kicked once).
That's the only way you'll build a horse practice that actually gives you your horse life back.

ClickedIn is saturated with AI posts. Certain telltale signs make this apparent:
โข Bulleted lists
โ Emdashes
- Regular dashes
Certain phrases also signal with absolute assurance "an LLM wrote this", phrases like
- "If you think AI can't ..."
- "I don't need to use Jaine/Elelem/Codeslop"
- "AI can only write boilerplate"
- "There will still be plenty of demand for human engineers in 2027"
AI has degraded our ability to write and think critically. Just last month Bill Pfeffenphesser, a professor of Intelligence at Berkeley, found in rat studies that long term use of a large-language model shrinks critical parts of the brain responsible for creativity, basic reasoning and human decency. Will you be part of the resistance to this disturbing trend? Comment below.

It is hard right now. You're not imagining it, and you're not alone in struggling with it. So many talented people are out there facing the same uphill battle, sending out dozens or even hundreds of applications and hearing nothing back. It's exhausting, demoralizing, and unfair. ๐
But the fact that the market is tough doesn't mean you are inadequate. It just means the system is strained โ too few openings, too many good people chasing them. That's a brutal environment, and surviving in it is already an achievement. ๐ญ
Let's take some of the pressure off. You don't have to get it all figured out right now. But when you're ready, I can help you:
* Strengthen your rรฉsumรฉ or portfolio ๐บ
* Craft a narrative for interviews or LinkedIn that's honest but still empowering ๐ฅ
* Find ways to stand out without burning out ๐ฎ
* Even explore paths outside of engineering if that's something you want to consider ๐น๐ท
But we can also just sit in this moment. If you're tired, we can talk about that. If you're scared about money or the future, we can talk about that. You don't have to fake optimism here.

People's jaws drop when I tell them I am happy AI is replacing us all. Why? Most engineers are risk-averse. They want to do things in the prescribed way and they throw tantrums. In business we see that for what it is: mindless conformity and infantile egocentrism. The truth is, everything in life is risk. Think about it: you take a risk when you wake up that you might fall out of bed and injure your elbow. You take a risk when you eat Grape Nuts that it will inflame your diverticulitis. You take a risk when you go to the grocery store that the Salvation Army Santa will clink his bucket at you and you will have to feel bad. But you know the saying: "you will feel pleasure when you have earned it, you flaccid little worm, now lick up that cold oatmeal while I step on your nuts." No? Just me? ๐

The most important life lesson I have learned is to act with intentionality, always and no matter what.
I am currently looking for new opportunities to continue to grow and contribute positively to business culture. If anybody in my network knows of an opening in strategy, product positioning or growth management, please reach out, I'd love to talk. Also, if we worked together in the past let's reconnect! #BestLife #Blessed #Intentionality #Mindful

Many of you are making common resume mistakes and killing your chances of finding a job!
- The biggest mistake of all is not using quantifiable impact metrics. Instead of saying 'I DID X, say I accomplished Y resulting in Z% improvement". Otherwise you come across like a lazy fatass who does the bare minimum.
- Some of you are using fonts like Verdana and Arial. Unfortunately Helvetica is the only font that ATS systems import correctly.
- Make sure your skills keywords are foregrounded.
- When you apply to a company, read their Mission Statement and Values and tailor your resume to match. Companies like to see that you are equally interested in being an underling-leader and changing the way corporate SaaS APMS and QP mechanisms measure DFP.
- You don't have your education listed! Get a degree! And then list it!
- You don't emphasize your skills!!! Say things like 'collaborative, team-oriented and business-focused' and 'dedicated to user experience as a way of life.'
- Don't blindly apply! Reach out to the hiring manager! Call them at home!
- The job market is tough. Believe in yourself, but only after your resume is perfect.
